Do I need a passport?
Everyone needs a passport to travel to Mexico (even very young children). If you already have a passport, make sure it will not expire by the time of travel. Passports should not be expiring within 6 months of your RETURN date of travel.
What is the official language?
Spanish is the official language of Mexico and it's been widely spoken there from the locals. English is spoken at the resorts and nearby restaurants, bars, discos, shopping centers, etc. Be sure to brush up on your Spanish skills before visiting the Riviera Maya!Good morning= Buenos días (B'weN - oss Dee - as)Hello= Hola (Oh - la)Goodbye= Adíos (Ah - dee - oss)Beer= Cerveza (S'air-vase-ah)Please= Por Favor (Pore - fah - v'ore)Thank you = Gracias (Grah - see - as)
What should we wear to the wedding?
Beach Formal – breezy, stylish, and comfy. Think flowy dresses, linen shirts, and sandals that can handle the sand!
Is the tap water safe in Mexico?
Drinking from the faucet is not recommended, as there is a very high mineral content. The resort provides plenty of bottled water in the rooms. Restaurants and bars use purified water and ice for your food and beverages.
What is the currency and is tipping expected?
The peso is the currency of Mexico, but USDs are widely accepted in resort areas. In Mexico, tips are always appreciated but never expected. If you plan on tipping, bring lots of $1 USD bills or pesos.
Do we need to spend every waking minute with the bride and groom?
Here’s the beauty of why we chose a destination wedding - you are completely and totally on VACATION! There are no obligations to do anything or be anywhere except for the actual wedding (at least we hope you’ll be there!!) Other than this, sit back and enjoy your vacation! We’ll do our best to mingle with everyone and hopefully we can all have lazy days together by the pool and ocean!
When do I need to RSVP?
Since this is a destination wedding and we need to confirm accommodations and reception numbers for all of our guests, we ask that you RSVP as soon as you know if you can attend or not, and submit your deposit no later than December 18th 2025.
To RSVP, please click here.
How can I book?
You can book your stay through our travel agent, Deanna. There is a link located on the "HOW TO BOOK" tab. A non refundable $200 per person deposit is required to book your flight and room, and the rest is due on September 22nd 2026.
Can I book a stay on my own?
You can, but in order to be registered as one of our wedding guests at the hotel you need to book through our group code. If travel is booked separately, the hotel may charge a fee to be paid in order to attend the wedding and other group events.
Can I stay at a different hotel?
Yes, but you will miss the group activities planned at the resort. You will also be required to purchase a day pass from the hotel in order to be with the group and arrange your own transportation to and from the resort.
What is the minimum stay requirement to book with our group?
There is a 3 night minimum to book through our group.
