10+ years in the making

Where did we meet? Of course the hockey rink lol

July 2009 Mike was playing hockey at the Greensboro Ice House and had tied his dog Brophy to a light pole on a short leash in the parking lot. I took Brophy off the light pole and brought him into the rink. When Mike was done playing and undressed there was a quick exchange and then he was off to Canada. We somehow ended up on the same team that fall, became Facebook friends and he asked for our first date which occured September 29, 2009 at Mi Pueblo. The date ended with a kiss and him saving me and my roomate from a cricket that had invaded my house! LOL Of course I had to keep him after that.

Fast forward about 10 years November 28, 2019, Mike pulled off the biggest surprise in our history together. Anyone who knows Mike knows he was NEVER getting married again. WELL, he shocked us all, on an amazing family trip to Hawaii he asked me to go for a walk after Thanksgving dinner. He got down on one knee and popped the question, in complete and utter shock it took a while, but YES was the answer.

Through many ups and downs we have created an amazing family with some amazing stories, some of which I'm sure will be shared at the wedding. lol
