Flathead Lake is north of Missoula. It is a state park and the gateway to Glacier National Park. It's good for boating, fishing, camping, etc. Also, check out hiking at Wild Horse Island State Park.

Quinn's Hot SpringsNorthwest of Missoula, this one's a splurge, but the hot springs, beautiful setting, and good food are worth it. It does fill up fast so book way in advance.
