What should I wear?Whatever is most comfortable to you! Our ceremony will be taking place outside (weather permitting) and then our reception will be in a pavilion and open. Since it is the middle of October, and you know how unpredictable Midwest weather can be, please make sure to follow the weather for Red Bud, Illinois the week of our wedding just in case!

Can I leave my car at the venue overnight, just in case?Yes you can! We want to make sure that if you feel like you are unable to drive, that you are safe. Our venue allows you to leave your car there overnight if you need to. Please be aware though that due to the location, there is not Uber or Lyft nearby.

Will there be a hotel nearby?We have set up a room block in Sparta, Illinois (about 20 minutes away) to where you can get a discount if you mention our block. If you do not want to go that far, there are some smaller hotels in the Red Bud area where you can stay too!

Do you have a registry?We are honored you will share in our special day. Your presence is our gift!
We're lucky to already have a home full of everything we need, so we have created a Honeyfund in place of traditional registry. A contribution towards our honeymoon fund instead of a gift is much appreciated. Please click the Registry link on our website to check our Honeyfund. -
Can I bring my kids?While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Do you have a wedding hashtag?We do! If you take any pictures or videos and post them online, make sure to include our wedding hashtag #fixintobeahixson.

Will there be a shuttle to and from the hotel?Yes there will be! We will have one shuttle that will begin picking up from the Holiday Inn Express & Suites starting at 3:00 PM. Please keep in mind that the venue is a 20 minute drive from the hotel and that hotel check in is at 3:00 PM as well. There will be an additional pick up from the hotel around 3:40 PM.
The shuttle will be at the wedding venue and will begin dropping off at the hotel starting at 9:30 PM. The last pick up from the venue to the hotel will be 11:00 PM.
If you decide to drive your car to the venue but need to take the shuttle back to the hotel, that is totally fine! The venue is allowing anyone to park their cars there overnight.
