Wedding Crew

We're ready to celebrate, and the party don't start til we ALL walk in!

Let's meet all the lovely people of the Wedding Crew.

  • Matron of Honor
    Stephanie Heath

    Two Sisters

Known and referred to as "Sister" by Desiree, Stephanie is Desiree's older sister/first-and-forever best friend. Even though they are ten years apart, they've been two peas in a pod from the start - so much so that Stephanie already knew she was going to be the Matron of Honor (Desiree still had to ask, though lol)! Stephanie is already knocking it out of the park as MOH, and Desiree is so lucky and glad to have her Numero Uno with her through it all.

She is also the mother of the ring bearer, Bryson (aka pretty cool dude and awesome nephew).

  • Best Man
    Rusty Mills

    Wiwhl Brotha

A year apart in age, Rusty and Riley have always been really close. Even if they didn't share similar interests, they were and have always been supportive of the other - just ask them about all the soccer games, swim meets, and the axolotl story!

With Rusty in the Navy, Riley had to call him up to ask him to be his Best Man. Rusty was very surprised and excited by the question, and is looking forward to blowing Stephanie's speech out of the water ;)

  • Bridesmaid
    Julie Perez

    I'll be there for youuuuu

Julie is Desiree's cousin, and while they still got to visit when Desiree's family would go back to El Paso, they didn't get to have cousin hang-outs until years later when Desiree moved to DFW! Desiree needed a place to stay during her internship, and Julie & her husband, Gabe, graciously offered their spare room. That was the beginning of a ton of cousin movie/show nights, meal preps, and game nights. There's sure to be much more now that they live right across the street from each other - talk about living out Friends in real life!

  • Groomsman
    Kirk Vogt

    Mr. Match-Maker

Kirk & Desiree met through Mt. Zion summer camp right before sixth grade, where they became great friends. Tons of church camps, youth group retreats, and all the friend gatherings, Desiree is so glad to have met Kirk and to have had him as such a great friend for all these years. Kirk and Riley met later at Dallas Christian College, through Riley's then-roommate. After their first outing going clown hunting, the two became instant friends and thus began an awesome friendship.

Such a small world and we are all grateful for it!

  • Bridesmaid
    Kate Springfield

    Besties for the Resties

Kate and Desiree met through a mutual friend in college and became friends instantly. Close to ten years of calls to talk about whatever's happening at the time, hanging out by the pool, study parties, and all the special events mixed in between, they are always there for each other and are sure to always be.

  • Groomsman
    Kimbell Bui

    Parkway Pals

Kimbell and Riley met in third grade, and bonded over their common interests - chess club and favorite video games, to name a few. Even though Kimbell moved to Houston early high school, it didn't feel like time had passed when Kimbell moved back their senior year; their friendship picked back up where they'd left off. Riley is so glad to have his oldest best friend stand with him on this special day!

  • Bridesmaid
    Abby Fox

    Kindred Spirits, Best Friends

Abby and Desiree go wayyyy back, and it all started when Desiree moved to a new school for second grade. No friends to start with and little Desiree was terrified. But by the end of the day, Abby had come by - bada-bing, bada-boom - and they were best friends. They've come a long way since that fateful day nearly twenty years ago, and they're as close as ever - the Anne to Desiree's Diana (or is it the other way around?).

  • Groomsman
    Zach Rustin

    Roll for PARTAY effectiveness.

Riley met Zach through their work at Respario when Riley started as an intern. Zach took Riley under his wing and their friendship grew from there. Game nights, movie trips, and puppy play dates - whether it's been at work or off-the-clock, the two have always had each other's backs and always will...even when Zach moves to stupid Portland.

  • Bridesmaid
    Bailey Teter

Thank you for being a friend

Picture it. Animal science lab, 2010. A car ride and Taylor Swift - isn't that how ALL great friendships start? Well, that's what brought Bailey and Desiree together and they've been going on ten years! Hanging out even when there's nothing to do, wine nights, and being there for each other no matter what - they are each other's Golden Girl.

  • Groomsman
    Joshua Wolfe

    Willow's World Cup Rival

Riley met Wolfe through the soccer team at Dallas Christian College, but they really got to know each other and became friends through their mutual friends. Riley will always remember the awesome time they had at a festival at the House of Blues - Dallas. Since then, they have shared tons of memories together, including the 2018 FIFA World Cup when Riley and Desiree's puppy, Willow, gave us all a run for our money. Two things are for sure: their friendship will keep growing, and Wolfe will always be Willow's World Cup rival :)

  • Bridesmaid
    Erica Martinez

    Seesters!

Abby and Desiree actually met Erica at the same time right before a freshman UIL trip - ice broken by a furry jacket - and the group was born! From high school to college and life after that, their friendship has only grown and it's sure to grow even more. Perhaps travel to Romania like they planned sophomore year? Only time will tell :D

  • Groomsman
    Zac Shaffer

    "Look Morty, I'm a groomsman!"

While Riley and Zac didn't get to really know each other until their junior year of college at DCC, it didn't take them long to become great friends. They met through Kirk (Mr. Match-Maker) and went on to share loads of wonderful memories together - dorm get-togethers, Sushi Ya meals, Zac's wedding day, and those to come. They're always ready to celebrate each other's successess and good times.
