  • Entertainment and Food Suggestions from the Couple!

One of the things Rojon and I love to do are to do enjoy ourselves whether it is with each other, with our family, or even with our friends. In case you are wondering about places to get a good meal, do certain restaurants live up to their hype, or what there is to do, here our suggestions!

    Entertainment:

    Zanies Comedy Club

Sambuca (a restaurant with live music, check the calendar before you go!)

BB Kings (a restaurant with live music, check the calendar before you go!)

    Restaurants:

Monell's - Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner served family style!

The Garden Brunch Café - Honest note from the bride to be, many, many, many people love it which is how it made the list, but I have NEVER been for personal reasons which I care not to disclose. If you go, please take the groom to be with you so he can experience it!

Slim and Husky's - "I think I ate there about eight times within their first few months of opening and I'm still hooked!" -The'Andrea

Rodizion Grill - Love to eat meat?? This is the place for you! They also serve brunch on Saturdays.

The Southern V - Vegan Restaurant

Jamaicaway Restaurant - Caribbean dishes with vegetarian and vegan options

Helen's Hot Chicken - It's not Prince's, but it stands on its own! We'd like to suggest there fish plate! We get it Hot which is spicy, but flavorful!

Taco Mamacita - Tacos any way you can imagine! Oh, they also have this flavorful Peruvian chicken.

If you're staying in Mt. Juliet at the hotel, these are our personal favorites in that area!

    The Goat

    Cori's Dog House

    Burger Republic

    Taziki's Mediterranean Café

    Cheddar's

Hardee's - The groom highly suggests the Omlet Biscuit for breakfast!

    Looking to shop:

Opry Mills (Outlet Mall in Donelson- east Nashville)

Nashville West (Strip Mall- west Nashville)

    Providence Marketplace (Mt Juliet, TN)

Cool Springs Galleria (Brentwood/ Franklin, TN)

  • Guess What!

The Tennessee State University Tigers are celebrating their homecoming October 13th through October 19th. Yes, we are getting married during "Nashville's Homecoming!" To some, this means nothing, and to others, this means everything. To the bride and groom and our guests, this means, please plan accordingly.

The Homecoming Parade takes place Saturday, October 19th at 8am on Jefferson Street. Additional activities tend to follow. Jefferson Street is one of the main interstate exits near the ceremony venue (Exit 207 from Interstate 40), so again, please give yourself ample time to arrive to the ceremony as our goal is to begin promptly. An alternate interstate exit is Charlotte Avenue (Exit 209 on Interstate 65).

Also note, the Tennessee State Tigers will play the Austin Peay Governors at 4:30pm at the Nissan Stadium. This can also cause interstate delays near the stadium.

To the Tigers out there, this was not intentional, and the family of Bulldogs (Cumberland and Fisk) wish you all a win! In the Father of the Bride's voice, "Ah who you rooting for?! ..........T-t-t-s-s-s-u!" "Go big blue!"
