Ashley and The’Andrea met their freshmen year of college at Fisk University. After their first semester, Ashley transferred to Middle Tennessee State University. She currently resides in Memphis where she is a wife and mother of one. Ashley is an energetic and passionate community engagement specialist, born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. Her love for human and community development was acquired through her membership of Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity, the National Guard, and her upbringing. The bride is proud to call Ashley her friend and sister. Ashley loves God, her family, community engagement, relaxing, cooking, and making people smile. Two things The’Andrea loves about Ashley are her drive and passion.

Jazmine and The’Andrea met through common friends that attended Fisk University as Jazmine transferred to Middle Tennessee State University the two got to know each other. Jazmine was loyal to her friends, and always made time for them; who wouldn’t want a friend like that?! Over the course of the years, The’Andrea and Jazmine have developed their own friendship and Jazmine has been a positive, uplifting, keep it real, dependable friend for the bride who hopes Jazmine can say the same about her. Jazmine currently resides in the UAE as a contracted teacher, but recently accepted a teaching position in Shanghai. Jazmine is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. A few things she enjoys are reading, travelling, staying fit, and blogging- visit Girl, Wake Up! and support her! Two things The’Andrea loves about Jazmine are her dedication and zest for life.

Leslie is one of the bride’s dearest friends, and little sisters. They met in middle school and have been connected since. Leslie is the mother to one year old Laila! She currently resides in the Antioch area. Leslie spends a lot of her time bonding with Laila, her dog Bryson, and counseling those she loves as she is a certified counselor. The’Andrea definitely takes advantage of the pro bono opportunities; “I love you sis and I definitely appreciate it!” Leslie loves being a mommy, watching her shows, travelling, spending time with the ones she loves, going to brunch with friends, staying current on news, and encouraging those around her to be his or her best self. Two of the many things The’Andrea loves about Leslie is that she is genuine and devoted.

Charisma is affectionately known as Shontika by family and friends. She is the cousin of the groom who is pretty much like a big sister to him. They spent a lot of time growing up together, and she is at any family function she can attend. This is how she and the bride started forming a bond, both being observant of the other, and Charisma being warm and welcoming. She is a mother of three and she lives in the Antioch area. She loves God, family, people, travelling, and to read. One of Charisma’s many, many jobs is a travel planner with Charismatic Travels so check out her Facebook page, Charismatic Travelers. Two of the many things The’Andrea loves about Shontika is that she is upbeat and meets no strangers!

Addison is the eight year old daughter of the groom. She is energetic, talented, outgoing, loving, and the life of the party. She loves singing, dancing, fashion, and cooking. Addison is developing into a true leader, watch out for her! The bride loves that Addison meets no strangers!

Ronni is the bride’s twelve year old niece. She is a student at I. T. Creswell where her specialties include drama and visual arts. She is thoughtful, developing a love for reading, and loves helping others, especially infants, toddlers and younger kids. She is a Girl Scout and loves selling Girl Scout cookies! The'Andrea loves that Ronni is thoughtful and enjoys all aspects of childhood!

Ryah is the five year old niece of the bride. She is one of the top ranking students in her class who loves learning, much like her aunt did at this age. She is very involved in church activities such as the choir, Sunday School, and Bible scripture recitation. She loves to pray and physical workouts! The bride loves that Ryah loves experiencing new things; letting no grass grow under her feet.

Khiland D. Garrett is the oldest child of the groom. He is an honor roll student at Eastside High School and he has a great interest in Sports Medicine, Social Studies and Chemistry. Khiland enjoys many activities including playing video games, football and basketball. He is really helpful, nurturing, and always there to lend a helpful hand. Khiland is looking forward to attending either Georgia Tech or Morehouse college after Graduation.

Ronald “Ron” Gilmore Jr. and the groom met in college. One of their common loves is music. Ron is a musician, keyboardist, producer, and composer. In 2014 he was signed to Dreamville Records. Ron is a passionate musician, and desires to touch the lives of many through his music and his life. Good friends are hard to come by, and no matter the distance, Ron and the groom have maintained a true friendship.

Prentiss Marable, affectionately known as Maricus, is the cousin of the groom and they have many stories to share with anyone who listens! Maricus is a loving husband and father. He is the percussionist for two churches, Cedars of Lebanon Primitive Baptist Church where the pastor is Greg Milford and Pinnacle Life Christian Center where the pastor is G.L. Butler. Maricus is a great cook and this is one of his favorite pastimes. In addition to cooking, his hobbies include coaching, playing video games with his sons, basketball, and football.

A special memory Maricus shared to the bride for the groom, “Memories I share with Shawn is that we would always spend the weekend with our granny and every Friday night, she would order us pizza from Little Caesars and get the “pretty kind” of ice cream, as we called it (Neapolitan) and we would watch Family Matters. Then, she would get up every Saturday morning and cook us breakfast while we watched cartoons. Shawn and I share a special bond because before Quinn came along, he was my brother. I love Shawn for always being there for me when I needed him.”

James Neuble, Jr. is the cousin and God brother of the groom. The groom spent lots of time in the Neuble household building memories with his aunt and cousins. James is a loving husband and father of one son, Jase. James is not a stranger to hard work as he and his wife are co-business owners of a well-respected business in Lebanon, Tennessee. He loves God, family, and helping families. The groom is happy to have his support.

Kedric is the bride's eleven year old god son. He likes music, having fun, and football. He has played several years on a Nashville youth league where they have advanced and won several championships. Kedric has a big heart and enjoys helping others, especially his teachers. He is very protective of his mother. The bride loves that Kedric is attentive and always responds to her random text messages even when he is enjoying his time on his phone. She loves that he still calls her, "Other Mama," as she always will be.

Derek V. Quarles, Jr. is affectionately known as DJ. He is eight years old and has an eleven year old sister, Kennedi. DJ is a scholar that loves to learn. He enjoys reading Pokémon and action stories. He plays flag football, basketball, and baseball. His basketball team “Smyrna Bulldogs” won the 2018-2019 champion for the Smyrna Basketball league.

DJ’s greatest strengths include his creativity, drive and leadership. He enjoys challenges and often leads the family in devotional prayers being very specific and serious when he prays. DJ is introverted when he meets people, but his bright, magnetic personality and inspirational attitude.

DJ has dreams of becoming a basketball star and a preacher. He will always have the support of his parents and family.

Michael is the bride’s handsome five year old god son! He recently became a big brother earlier this year, and he is so excited! He is very respectful, friendly, and intelligent. He loves learning new things and reading books. Michael loves football, track, basketball, his family, playing with his toys, and going to the store. He is a fast learner like his mom and has a great imagination! The bride loves how inquisitive he is and how he is not afraid to meet other children as the one to break the ice.
